The Alano Club of Portland

The Alano Club is a non-profit for addiction and recovery. To raise awareness, we’re normalizing Narcan—a life saving, overdose reversal medication for opioids.

The Fentanyl crisis has divided Portland, emotionally and physically. Many have reluctantly left for cleaner suburbs to avoid the hardships their beloved city now faces. Published in Portland Monthly, an open letter from downtown to the well-off community of West Hills.

Lemonade Stand

Kids are done with lemonade. Now, they’re setting up Narcan stands around Portland. Because Portland is facing an epidemic—one that can and will affect these children’s future. The message these kids are sending? Portland doesn’t need another lemonade stand. Portland needs Narcan.

A Lethal Dose

1.3 kilograms. 2.87 lbs. The lethal dose of fentanyl for the entire city of Portland is shockingly small. So we’re putting that exact amount on display around the city in transparent boxes. And Narcan alongside it. Because we want people to see exactly how much Portland needs Narcan.
